Summer Reading List
Posted on 06/04/2018
Dear Parents and Guardians,

The following is Royal Palm Beach Community High School’s Summer Reading List for all 9th-12th grade students for the 2018-2019 school year. The list below includes all titles grouped by grade level and course.

All students should read the novel(s) listed as a prerequisite for the Language Arts or History course they will be entering.  Please note that only History courses that require a prerequisite text are AP World History and AP U.S. History classes.  The required title(s) will differ depending on the students’ grade level and the level of the course (English, English Honors, AICE, AP, Pre-IB / IB).  All titles will be assessed during the first nine weeks of the 2018-2019 school year, and will count as a grade in their Language Arts or History class. Any titles listed as optional are intended for enrichment of the course content.

It is suggested that required books should be purchased and brought to schools with the students as they will be included in the class curriculum. Novels may also be purchased in an electronic format and may be utilized through electronic book readers- Kindles, Nooks, etc. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please feel free to email the Reading Coach, Elissa Mowry at elissa.mowry@palmbeachschools.org.
